Infrared · Portfolio · Berachain

From scattered to single-page.

Infrared had no portfolio page. Deposits, rewards and new vault opportunities were scattered across separate surfaces, and there was nowhere a returning user could see their whole position. Design one home that shows what they hold and what to do next.

About the project

A portfolio isn’t a dashboard, it’s a launchpad: show users what they hold, and make the next deposit one click away.

The story

Infrared grew fast on Berachain’s Proof of Liquidity, and its surfaces grew with it: vaults in a directory, iBGT and iBERA staking on their own pages, sIR somewhere else, rewards in yet another place. Testing with three personas showed newcomers couldn’t find their positions, passive investors skipped the second vault, and power users found rewards fragmented.

The new page connects three things the protocol already knows: who the user is, what their wallet holds, and which vaults fit those assets. A summary shows balance, outstanding rewards and weighted APR, every vault row carries a “Deposit $X” button prefilled from the wallet, and category filters give repeat visits structure.

Deliverables
  • Synthetic user testing three personas, six findings
  • Competitive teardown DeFi portfolio surfaces
  • Portfolio summary balance, outstanding rewards, weighted APR
  • Featured token cards iBGT, iBERA and sIR
  • Wallet-aware vault tables one-click “Deposit $X”
  • Rewards and filters claim path, PoL vault categories

What we achieved

Figures reported by the client after launch.
−68%Time to deposit

Median time from landing on the portfolio to a completed deposit.

+42%30-day return rate

More users came back once the portfolio existed as a landing surface.

+56%Users in 3+ vaults

More users holding positions in three or more vaults within 90 days.

+73%Monthly deposit volume

Growth in monthly deposit volume routed through the portfolio.

A portfolio surface is not a dashboard. It’s a launchpad.

The Vaults page solved the cold-start problem of getting users in. The portfolio page solves the warm-state problem of keeping them growing: average deposit per active user rose around 28%, and users returning within a week of their last deposit rose around 55%.
